Joanne Tate has high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes as well as having had three strokes. Given that experience, this is her perspective on health care...

As a result health care is very important and vital to me. I am please with the health care I have now. I am destroyed by the anger and misinformation in the national debate. I would hope there is civility and discussion rather than upset and anger. I would not like anger to escalate to something stronger.

I support all insurances without regards to pre-existing conditions. I want to see people that want access to health insurance be provided with the services they desire. I would not want people to have to choose between health care and food; or healthcare and rent. I was faced with this choice for the past few years. I can relate to people who might have to choose due to the expense of insurance and not being able to afford it. I had to choose medication due to my illness but not everyone is able. There are three instances that I see: 1. Employment without health care provided. 2. Employment with health care plus employee contributions. 3. Unemployed with no health care. I believe that the government would only have the resources to provide healthcare for people who have no health insurance.
