The Advisory board has carefully selected our sites to reach diverse ethnic and economic groups to ensure we engage seniors from all walks of life. The BGTIME Centers established in each of these sites have state-of-the-art computer workstations with large-screen monitors, powerful processors, web cameras, and the software and social media tools required to post to multi-media sites. Digital still cameras, digital video cameras, and digital recorders are also available for student and senior use.

The South Carolina State Library is located in two buildings at the corner of Senate and Bull streets in Columbia, South Carolina. The Information and Resource Center at 1500 Senate Street houses the library's general collections and Information Services staff. Talking Book Services, Library Development Services, Administration and Finance Departments are located at 1430 Senate Street. BGTIME has placed computers in both buildings. Unmetered parking is available for BGTIME participants behind the 1430 Street building.

Capital Senior Center is dedicated to providing Midland's adults, 50 years and older, initiatives for physical fitness and social engagement, promoting healthy lifestyles and independence. The Capital Senior Center is a membership organization that serves a diverse population. The BGTIME Center is available to all members.

Oak Read Senior Apartments are residential facilities managed by the Columbia Housing Authority. The BGTIME Center in the Oak Read Senior Apartments also serves participants who live in other residential facilities in the neighborhood.

Still Hopes is a senior retirement community in the South Carolina Midlands that offers many options for accommodations. The BGTIME Center located in the main building on the Still Hopes campus is available to all residents of Still Hopes.

What is BGTIME?

Senior citizens in our community have much to contribute to the civic dialogue. However, many seniors lack the skills and opportunities necessary to use all the tools available to them to tell their stories. The BGTIME program was developed to help bridge this divide between senior citizens and digital media. More
