How to use this site

Welcome to BGTIME, a website as well as an online community. Our mission is to engage seniors in our community's digital dialogue and we hope you will join in the conversation. We think there is much of interest on this site. Here are some tips to help you find it:

FORMAT
The site is organized like many websites with the most recent stories typically at the top. You certainly can start to scroll down and experience what BGTIME has to offer. However, you may be interested in a story that was posted earlier and not have the time to keep scrolling down till it appears. So there are several other ways to help you find what might be of interest.

RECENT COMMENTS
In the right column of the home page, you will find comments that have been posted about recent stories with links to those stories. This is a quick and easy way to find out what people are talking about.

RECENT ENTRIES
Below Recent Comments, you will find a list of what is new with links to those stories.

TAG CLOUD
With each posting, we identify the key topics it touches upon. Those topics then are collected into a Tag Cloud. The more postings on a particular topic, the larger the type in the Tag Cloud. The Tag Cloud is another easy way to get a sense of what is being written about on the site.

TOPICS
In the navigation bar at the top of the home page, you will find the word Topics. Scroll over it and a menu will drop down, listing general categories. Click on Family, for example, and you will find the stories that have been posted on this topic.

JOIN THE CONVERSATION
We encourage comments on our postings, but first you will need to register. The process is very simple. Just click HERE to go to the registration page.

What is BGTIME?

Senior citizens in our community have much to contribute to the civic dialogue. However, many seniors lack the skills and opportunities necessary to use all the tools available to them to tell their stories. The BGTIME program was developed to help bridge this divide between senior citizens and digital media. More
