Meet Blackie Meadows

Blackie Meadows.jpg'Blackie' Meadows is a native of Tennessee and came with her husband to Columbia to build Carolina Eastman, a division of Eastman Kodak. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University and her Master of Education from the University of South Carolina. Meadows, a former teacher and substitute teacher, was always active in church and community affairs. She was a Junior League member and chair of the board of her church day care center. Meadows and her husband en-joyed international travel and after his death, she traveled widely and made four bicycle trips in Europe. She has two children and four grandchildren.

However, many seniors lack the skills and opportunities necessary to use all the tools available to them to tell their stories. The BGTIME program was developed to help bridge this divide between senior citizens and digital media. More
