Meet Claire Davis

Claire Davis.jpgClaire Davis was born in Virginia, reared in North Carolina and has been a resident of South Carolina for the past 40 years. After graduating from the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina majoring in Secretarial Science and Accounting, she married her husband Charlie, a newly commissioned Marine Lieutenant and native South Carolinian. Together they amassed 11 different addresses in 21 years before returning to Columbia in 1979. Davis and her husband have three children and five grandchildren and have lived at Still Hopes Retirement Community since 2005. She enjoys visiting with family, knitting, sewing, painting and volunteering.

Senior citizens in our community have much to contribute to the civic dialogue. However, many seniors lack the skills and opportunities necessary to use all the tools available to them to tell their stories. The BGTIME program was developed to help bridge this divide between senior citizens and digital media. More
