Meet Herbert Guerry

Herbert Guerry.jpgHerbert Guerry, a native South Carolinian, is a retired National Guardsman and Civilian employee, having worked in the United States Property and Fiscal Office for 25 years. He worked with the State Adjutants General in establishing and building National Guard armories throughout the state after World War II. After retiring with the rank of Colonel, Guerry volunteered in the South Carolina State Guard. He and his wife Elizabeth have been married for 59 years and have two children, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The two have traveled throughout the United States and Europe and cruised in the Caribbean, Atlantic and along the Alaskan coast. Guerry's hobbies are reading and crossword puzzles. He and Elizabeth have enjoyed independent living at Still Hopes for four years.
