Meet Kamau Washiri

KK Washiri.jpgKamau Washiri is a disabled Army Veteran, who served during the Vietnam Era. He spent time in Germany, Belgium and Amsterdam. A native Columbian, Washiri graduated from Hanberry High in Blythewood, South Carolina. He attended the University of South Carolina and received an Associate of Arts Degree. Washiri stays as active as possible both physically and mentally, despite his disability.

However, many seniors lack the skills and opportunities necessary to use all the tools available to them to tell their stories. The BGTIME program was developed to help bridge this divide between senior citizens and digital media. More
