Meet Sue Shmunes

Sue Shmunes.jpgSue Shumes is not a native South Carolinian, but she has lived in Columbia since 1979, and definitely considers it home. She earned a Master's degree in Social Work from Florida State University and has practiced as a psychiatric and medical social worker. Shmunes retired from Palmetto Health Richland as manager of the Patient Relations Department which deals with patient advocacy issues. Like many retirees she wonders how she ever had time for a 'real job.' Her interests include reading, gardening, cooking, traveling, Edisto Island and sharing time with her fourteen year old granddaughter.
